Work in progress

Hello world :-)

Yotta is the largest unit prefix in the International System of Units (SI) denoting a factor of 1024 or 1000000000000000000000000

It has the unit symbol Y.

"Y" is orthogonal with "X" and it is absolutely independent from it.

The prefix name is derived from the Greek ὀκτώ (októ), meaning eight, because it is equal to 10008.

It was added to the SI in 1991 here http://www.bipm.org/

One day, YottaLab  will be the biggest Open Source initiative about Free (as Freedom) Software for scientific and engineering applications.

YottaLab will be composed exclusively by BSD, GPL2 and GPL3 licensed software (with the required exceptions for deployement on embedded systems, of course :-) ).
